I was invited to a Cookie Exchange last night and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. All of our kids arrived home for the holidays yesterday and between them and friends stopping by, it’s great to have an assortment of cookies on hand.
Cookie exchanges can be done in two different ways: either have everyone bring their cookies wrapped by the dozen and exchange full plates of cookies, or bring them on platters and let everyone hand select and fill up their own platter with an assortment. I did a Christmas variation on my pistachio biscotti by replacing half of the nuts with dried cranberries. The result is a red and green delight perfect for holiday entertaining. Best of all, these cookies are as great for breakfast with a cup of coffee as they are after dinner.
