Today marks the 6th anniversary of my food blog, and I almost missed it. I’ve been so busy with my cookbook launch, book signing events and tastings (won’t you come to one? they are all listed here), and media spots, that I nearly passed over the day as if it were ordinary. But the fact is that blogging years are more akin to dog years – six years of blogging on average three times a week is a very long time. Ask anyone who has been doing it and they’ll agree. So let me mark this occasion for celebration with some of your favorites.Although my post for Perfectly Pan Seared Pork Chops appeared over three years ago, I still get weekly comments from readers telling me how great their pork chops turned out after trying my method. My baked Zucchini Chips are the second most viewed recipe on my site – seems I’m not the only one on a constant search for a healthier snack food!Showing up in the number three spot, my Green Tomato Bread is hugely popular. I mean, what do you do otherwise with all of those green tomatoes still hanging on the vine in Colorado when frost threatens? One of my very first vegetables posts was Oven Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Glaze. I don’t know if it’s the roasting technique or the glaze – which can be used on everything from vegetables to pork to chicken to beef to parmesan cheese or ice cream – that brings readers back to this recipe again and again.Wrapping up the top five posts is my Pan Fried Polenta with Chives. Maybe readers like it because it’s a comfort food, maybe because it’s Italian, or maybe it’s because that was the time when my food photography started improving.

If you’ve been following along all these years, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your loyalty. If you’re new to the blog, enjoy. For any of you out there, I’d love to know if you have a favorite recipe or post from the past six years – won’t you share about it in a comment below?
