Lamb Meatballs with Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • ¼ cup minced onions
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • 1 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon mint, minced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder, optional
Instructions
  1. Gently mix together lamb, onions, spices, bread crumbs, and egg. Form into small meatballs. Place onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone liner or parchment paper and bake at 375 degrees until cooked through, 20-30 minutes depending on the size of the meatballs.
  2. To make yogurt sauce, stir all remaining ingredients together and let stand 10 minutes for flavors to meld.
