Best of the Food Web – Instructional Videos

October 20, 2011  •  Best of the Food Web,

Thanks for bearing with me as I try to get my feet back on the ground after my trip to Italy. It’s not that I haven’t been cooking. Actually I’ve been cooking up a storm, working on recipes for my cookbook project, trying to catch up to stay on schedule for my March 1st deadline. That leaves little time (or energy, or budget, or need for food) for other cooking. Fortunately, the great wide world of food on the internet keeps serving up interesting things. Friends often send me links, thinking surely I already know a certain tip, but I learn as many things as they do. Here are a few recent finds I think you’ll like:

How to Shuck Corn without a Single Silk Remaining

How to Peel a Whole Head of Garlic in 10 Seconds

How to Peel Hardboiled Eggs

I try these techniques every time I see a video, and am pleased to tell you they work! If you have more great how to cooking videos that you’ve found, let me know and I’ll share them with everyone.
