
Lamb Meatballs with Yogurt Sauce

 Ingredients
 - 1 pound ground lamb
 - ¼ cup minced onions
 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
 - 1 teaspoon cumin
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - ½ teaspoon pepper
 - 1 egg, lightly beaten
 - ¼ cup bread crumbs
 - ¼ cup raisins
 - ¼ cup pine nuts
 - 1 cups plain yogurt
 - 1 lemon, zested
 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 - 1 tablespoon mint, minced
 - salt and pepper, to taste
 - ½ teaspoon curry powder, optional
 
Instructions
 - Gently mix together lamb, onions, spices, and egg. When mixed well, add the breadcrumbs, raisins and pine nuts and form into small meatballs. Place onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone liner or parchment paper and bake at 375 degrees until cooked through, 20-30 minutes depending on the size of the meatballs.
 - To make yogurt sauce, stir all remaining ingredients together and let stand 10 minutes for flavors to meld.
