German pastries – they are EVERYWHERE, but in the interest of my waistline, I rarely sampled them

Lentil soup with stuffed cabbage rolls

Wildschweinmaultaschen – ravioli stuffed with wild boarand served with German potato salad (lots of mustard, no mayo)

Onion soup with Emmenthaler cheese crouton
Baeckeoffe – like the best winter stew your grandma ever made
Kugelhopf glace with Kirsch
Cheese – lots of it, lots of great types
Big lunch salad with a poached egg and bacon lardons
Ice cream – in every flavor you can imagine
