holiday resolutionsGet Old is an initiative developed by Pfizer to challenge people of all ages to rethink what it means to Get Old and take a more active role in their health and quality of life at every age. I was asked as a blogger to take part in this initiative, and it hit home with me right away. If you have followed my blog for any time, you know that I’m a big fan of New Year’s Eve. It gives me such a “fresh start” feeling, and almost every year I make resolutions. And since we’re all getting a bit older every year, are you like me and do you wonder how the things you chose to do now will help you enjoy life as you get older?

I cook and share my love of cooking not just because I like to cook, but because I know that eating well has a profound impact on our mental and physical health. The choices we make today have a significant impact on the way we age in the future, and food is a perfect example.holiday resolutions 1I’m making my resolutions early this year and thought I’d share them with you so that it might prompt you to think about any resolutions that will help you Get Old well too!

Make healthy choices – do things that will improve both my physical and mental health
Nurture relationships – my husband, my family, my friends, my colleagues
Continue to seek educational opportunities – aspire to be a lifelong learner and challenge my brain.
Have fun – after all, what’s the point of getting old if you can’t enjoy it?
