As a Hall of Fame Chef Educator for Cooking Matters, I help teach classes to lower income families in the front range area. Cooking Matters helps families shop for and cook healthy meals on a budget, as part of Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. Read more.
Slow Food Denver provides school garden support to about 65 schools in the Denver area through its Seed to Table Alliance program, which helps creates meaningful relationships between young people and food in order to transform the school food system. Schools in the alliance enjoy their cooking classes which I deliver throughout the metro area. Read more.
Project Angel Heart delivers nutritious meals to improve quality of life, at no cost, for those coping with life-threatening illness. I work in the kitchen to help prep ingredients and plate meals for delivery to their clients, and also serve as an Ambassador on Dining Out for Life day. Read more.

It also drags down our nation’s economy by perpetuating the cycle of poverty.As a food blogger, I help bring attention to issues surrounding childhood hunger and food insecurity in our country. Produce For Pantries encourages home, school and community gardeners to plant, grow and share produce with food pantries and hunger-relief organizations in their neighborhoods. I grow extra produce in my home garden and contribute it to my neighborhood pantry weekly in the summer. Read more.
