The Love of My Life
May 1, 2017 • Best of the Food Web,
One week ago I lost the love of my life. He fought a heroic six month battle after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm on October 21st when we landed in Madrid for vacation, but in the end, the damage to his brain was too great and he was unable to recover. I thought you might like to know a few of his favorites from this blog over the past many years. Cooking for him is just one of the very many things I will miss now that he’s gone, but rest assured I will keep cooking. Few things are so cathartic for me, and I know in time cooking will help ease my grief.
Southwestern Eggs Benedict
Beef and Ricotta Cannelloni with Béchamel Sauce
Beef Bourgogne
Greg’s Baked Pasta (the only “recipe” from him on this blog)
Beef Stroganoff
Coconut Cake
Pork Green Chili
Béarnaise Sauce
Buttermilk Smashed Potatoes
Spaghetti Aglio Olio(or any other pasta dish for that matter)

I am truly so very sorry to hear of your husbands passing … there is nothing more devastating, than to lose the one that has been such a solid partner, a rock in life. God comfort you and ease your sorrow during this time.
