Restaurant Roundup: Fresco by Scotto Manhattan

The pandemic has robbed us of one of the most important things in our lives: connections with those we love. I’ve known my friend in the picture above since were were 18 and pledged the same sorority in college. We stayed close after college, then began traveling internationally as couples in the last decade or so. She and her husband were with me in Madrid when my husband collapsed from a ruptured brain aneurysm, and we talked every single day during the next six months until his death. But the pandemic meant I was unable to see her for nearly two years. So you can only imagine how great this reunion at a restaurant in Manhattan in late August was for us.
