First night in Beijing

October 2, 2010 | China, Travel

Well that was an easier trip than I thought. An uneventful flight from Denver to San Francisco followed by an early arrivals into Beijing – what more can you ask for?

We met up with our transfer company – thankfully he

spoke great English

- and chuckled a bit when we saw these red velvet seat covers on our bus.

We didn’t have time for anything other than dinner, but the hotel restaurant didn’t disappoint. We shared the Asian appetizer of chicken satay, fish cakes, and summer rolls followed by a fabulous noodle dish – wok fried flat noodles with prawns, crabmeat and dried pork sausage. Clean and fresh flavors like classic Chinese food should be. Visit again tomorrow – we’re going to the night market!
